By request, here are two Christmas songs i recorded in 1978. The first one is just me singing White Christmas over an instrumental record by The Rainbow Strings from sometime in the 1960’s. The second song, What is This? is me playing guitar and singing a duet with my brother David.
Bob Jones University: The Good, The Bad, and the Very Ugly – Pt. 3
This is the third out of four posts about Bob Jones University. I have decided to make this post exclusively about segregation and racism at BJU and the next post will be about the counseling of victims of sexual abuse and the protection of the perpetrators of that abuse. There is a link at the bottom of this post to the two previous posts. I attended Bob Jones University from 1973 through 1977 and graduated with a B.S. in Broadcast Engineering and a minor in Mathematics. The first post focussed on a few of the good aspects of the school. The […]
Time and Life Management, Take 2
I’ve deleted the original post i made about Time and Life Management. I’ve been working hard on the ins and outs of posting PDF files and Audio Files, as well as learning how to edit and tweak audio files to remove dead spots and make the file easier to listen to. Please give this new version a try and also, please leave me feedback in the comments or by using the Contact John option about how everything works for you. In working on this post, I’ve listened to and scrolled through it 3 times and i actually think this may […]
Coming Soon!

I am currently working out the details of how to post the audio as well as the Keynote presentation from each class on my blog. I’ll be experimenting by working on uploading a Keynote and audio file for a class i taught a few years ago about Time and Life Management. If all goes well and i can iron out all […]
Aches, Pains, Headaches and Sleep
I wanted to write this post 2 weeks ago, but my wife persuaded me (rightfully so) that I needed to give it a few weeks before writing it. At my age (60), you find yourself with more aches and pains than you ever thought about in your 30’s. In fact, i kind of wish someone had warned me, not that it would have made any difference, but i would have been less surprised. My back aches, my shoulders both hurt, my neck is tight as a cliff, and i get a lot of headaches. Sleeping actually makes all of those […]
