Miscellaneous Personal Ramblings

It’s been a while since i made a topical post of substance, and this won’t be one either. I’ve had a lot going on the past month, and as much as i love blogging, it takes time and focus, both of which have been in short supply lately. Instead i thought i’d just give a personal update full of miscellaneous ramblings on assorted topics. My Eyes A few weeks ago i had my yearly eye exam by Dr. Lancaster at Atlantic Eye Institute. Update on eBay and 5k iMac

Apology It has been 3 weeks since i last made a blog post. I’ve been spending all my time focusing on selling my CD collection to raise money to buy the 5k Retina Display 27″ iMac and also reading this 2″ thick tome Switching to The Mac. John’s Apple Conversion

The Beginning I started in the world of computers in the late 70’s. As part of my MBA program i had to pass a test proving i was proficient in either Cobol or Fortran. A year or so later, MBA in hand, while working for […]

I had a really bad experience with PayPal back around 1999 or 2000. I signed up for a PayPal account specifically so I could buy a vinyl Christmas album by The Ames Brothers (originally recorded in 1957, so kind of hard to find). That went well, and i’m glad i did it . . . right up until the moment a few weeks later when some people in Brazil stole over $100 from my bank account through PayPal. I had not ordered anything from them nor anyone else besides that one transaction to buy the record album. I got in […]

Gay Marriage

I plan to offend almost everyone with this post. Liberals, Conservatives, LGBT’s, Christians, Democrats, Republicans, Fox News fans, MSNBC fans. All i’m asking is that you read this post through to the end. Well, i’m finally going to do it. I’m going to make a blog post about a controversial and divisive issue. What has caused me to finally feel a need to post on this subject? I’m a Christian, someone who attempts to be a follower of Christ, and yet i see so many of those who wear the name Christian taking stands against things in ways which Jesus […]
